Tales from the Bottom of our Garden

5

Was this weird little craft deactivated? Didn't it have a name? So the Minds decided to leave but at that moment, one of the vessels, the "I Blame My Mother" detected some minute activity coming from within the lifeless craft.

With Love from the Stars

Maybe that was what had deactivated their fellow ship. It seemed to be some kind of microorganism, but a little bigger. A quick look through its data banks revealed that the beings in question were a rudimentary form of life know as Humans. Humans were classed under "infections and parasites". Humanity was alongside "contagious illnesses and compulsory vaccinations". This is what the entry read: "Humanity systematically evolves very badly. Humans start out as quite nice little kiddies but soon grow in to obnoxious teenagers. On no account must they be allowed to reach adulthood. Gentle but swift eradication is highly recommended". The "I blame my mother" therefore launched a couple of thoughtful missiles towards the unnamed craft. On the side of said missiles could been seen the thoughtful message "With love from the stars".

Tin Can

Meanwhile, the humans, realising they were under attack, decided to evacuate the ship and the captain had to go first, after all he was a tiny bit nuts and needed help. It was only when they had ejected the one seater escape capsule with the captain aboard that they became aware of the total absence of any other escape capsules. A single one seater escape pod on a ship transporting the whole of humanity! Total planning! A head in hands moment...but a very momentary moment!
